Nasal polyps, hang like teardrops from the lining of your nasal passages and sinues. Soft, painless, noncancerous growths, nasal polyps are the result of certain immune disorders; allergies, drug sensitivities, asthma, or recurring infections.

Nasal polyps can lead to breathing problems, a lost sense of smell and frequent infections.

Current treatment options include medications to shrink or eliminate nasal polyps or surgery to phsically remove the polyps.

After successful treatment, nasal polyps often recur.
