USA Today is reporting that one of the performers for American Idol Live, Casey James, is struggling to get over a sinus infection before the tour starts next week. The performer is reporting some difficulty with allergies that lead to a sinus infection and is now suffering from a swollen throat preventing him from singing. This is another of many reports of performers and sports personalities struggling to overcome sinus infections before they're due to perform. It's important to take the time to let your body fight a sinus infection. Some are too ready to jump back into work because they're just a little stuffy. They consider it no big deal and don't take the condition seriously. This can lead to a potential worsening of symptoms and may even result in chronic sinusitis, sinusitis lasting more than 3 months. Take the time. Talk to your doctor about treatment and let your body recover from the infection. If you have questions or concerns about sinusitis, particularly if you've been suffering from frequent recurrences or an infection that has lasted more than 3 months, contact our office and set an appointment.
